Yeah so I guess the headline is pretty self-explanatory. I'm in between jobs at the moment, again, and I have quite some free time on my hands. My friend and I are writing a comic and we were looking for an artist before we actually submitted it. We are currently working on getting it copyrighted but we wanted to do some concepts. You, if chosen, would also be covered under this and we could work out some ownership rights between us.

The story follows three protagonists on the search for a common foe. It gets complicated along the way, blah blah blah. If you're interested in the story, I could be more in depth. I'm just really touchy about the story since it's far from 100. I do have a mini of one of the characters in it's beginning stages. I also have detailed bio's for almost every character that will eventually be in the story at one point or another. The story also involves, pseudo science, a post modern setting along with modern and futuristic sets and ideas with a basis on character development. We are currently looking for an artist whose drawings could give the series a dark, rough tone, but light when necessary.

We are willing to pay commission but we're not certain if this will affect ownership rights. If we pay commission and end up not going with your idea and becomes scrapped, we can't necessarily credit you with a characters creation just because you were paid.

If you are geographically close to the Austin, TX area, then it could benefit us to meet and swap ideas. Just to emphasize, we've been working on this idea for 3-4 years had a number of "artists" fall out on us, so forgive me if I'm apprehensive.
